Our Story
From the choir to dance recitals
and roles in off-Broadway productions,
Kyla Maull, Georgette "Gigi" Belton and Nicole "Nikki" Nelson
are no strangers to the stage.
Growing up in New York City, their entire childhood
was spent dancing, singing and acting.
Upon relocation to South Florida it was important for Kyla
to expose her daughter to the world of the performing arts.
However after a failed search for an inexpensive program,
she realized that such an outlet, in South Florida, didn’t exist.
Rather than give up, Kyla enlisted the help
of Gigi and Nikki, and together, envisioned a place where talented children
could creatively express themselves within a safe environment.
This place would be accessible to all young people
interested in the performing arts, regardless of family income.
In 2006, Encore Performing Arts Center Inc. was born.
Encore Performing Arts Center Inc.
is a non-profit organization committed to providing
a safe environment and creative outlet
for South Florida’s youth.
Seeking passionate and dedicated youth, every year,
the founders of ENCORE take great pride in grooming children
to become future stars as well as helping them
build self-esteem, overcome shyness, increase academic scores
and most of all build and sustain new relationships within
a diverse environment.
Tiffany Hoggan joined ENCORE in 2007 as a volunteer.
Some say she started singing before she could talk so it was no surprise
when she came on board as Vocal Coach in 2009.
The entire team at Encore
sincerely appreciates the tremendous community support,
which continues to help keep ENCORE alive.
